Absolutely not! If an organ of any kind is donated in a hospital, it is not sold to anyone. If anyone tried to steal an organ to sell illegally, I can’t see any way to get away with it in a hospital setting. There are too many witnesses and too much documentation. The medical staff does their best to save anyone they can. They have no more interest in saving one patient over another. Even if someone buys an organ illegally on the black market, they need a specially skilled doctor, operating room, staff and materials. Recovery for several days to several weeks is required before a transplant patient is released from the hospital. After that, follow ups are necessary as well as drugs so the organ isn’t rejected. The patient will be on those the rest of their lives.
