The best there is the best there was and the best there ever will rip the man in Black gone Some of us grew up listening to Johnny Cash the cool ones still do sunset shirt. I love the big man but it’s a dreadful cover of a wonderful song. Mind you Stevie Wonders version is even worse! Also forgot to mention a brilliant dub type reggae album by Gov’t Mule, Mighty High, which has some quirky reggae again from. I had reservations about whether Johnny would sing in patois, whether he’d suit it, but he did brilliantly on it. Johnny wasn’t afraid to venture into other genres, I.e electronica with U2 on The Wanderer, blues with Vera Hall’s Another Man Done Gone. I think Joe Strummer wrote a song for Johnny which Johnny didn’t pick up on, Long Shadow.
