What does he want? You may want something that he wants no part of. When my son was 13 I told him that he needed to find him a job. He told me he wanted to go to barber school. I told him to find out about it and get the paperwork. He walked the three miles to the barber school to get the paperwork and filled it out himself (his sister helped). He started barber school at 13, finished at 17 and cuts hair at 19. He also goes to junior college and plans on transferring to George Mason University in September. He has his own Internet company selling high-end clothes. His high school GPA was 2.2. Now its 3.8. His doing, his plans. You can lead him to water, you can’t make him drink. So be smart, make him thirsty.
